Presentation

An outstanding witness to 2000 years of wine history in Burgundy, Château Philippe le Hardi is a legendary building, owned by Philippe le Hardi (1342-1404), Duke of Burgundy.
This large Burgundy estate now has 98 hectares of vines on prestigious "terroirs" of Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise.
Nearly 100 plots, behind around fifty vintages, produce wine today in the estate's cellars, offering a remarkable diversity of wines.
Since 2004, the estate has been certified Terra Vitis and, since 2015, HVE (High Environmental Value). In 2021, the estate began its organic conversion.
Each visit to our fiefdom of Santenay and every tasting of our wines is an intense, exciting experience.

On the programme for our "Fons Boni & Sani" tour: lasts 2 hours
The tour begins with the thousand-year history of the Château and its wine estate, and continues with a visit to the cellars where the vinification of the estate’s multiple “climats” takes place. Finally, you’ll visit our unusual cellars, where our prestigious wines are aged.
You’ll finish with the "dukes" tasting of 6 legendary wines from the estate, 3 white and 3 red, with at least 2 Premiers Crus and 1 Grand Cru, from Burgundy’s greatest “climats”.
