Château du Clos Vougeot – Discovery tour

Built in the 12th century by the monks of Cîteaux Abbey, in the heart of the vineyards along the Route des Grands Crus, Château du Clos de Vougeot now welcomes lovers of history, architecture and wine.
While Château du Clos de Vougeot no longer produces wine, it remains a symbol of nearly a thousand years of Burgundy's history.
An outstanding historical monument, Château du Clos de Vougeot is the headquarters of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (Brotherhood of the Knights of the Wine Tasting Cup).
Tours can be done independently using a leaflet available in French, English and German, with touchscreens along the route, or as a guided tour by reservation and subject to availability (at 10.30am, 2.30pm and 4.30pm, with a supplement of €2 per person). The tour includes a visit to the Château's former winemaking facilities, the film "Jamais en vain, toujours en vin" (Never in Vain, Always in Wine) about the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, and, periodically, a temporary exhibition.
Final self-guided tour departs one hour before closing time.
Please note that tours may be shortened or limited when required for the smooth running of a reception at the Château.

- From April to October (high season): GUIDED TOURS DEPART by reservation, subject to availability, at:

• 10.30am, 2.30pm and 4.30pm in French 
• 11.30am and 3.30pm in English

Monday to Sunday, 9.30am to 6.00pm, ticket office closes at 5.30pm (last entry)
- From November to March (low season):
Monday to Sunday, 10.00am to 5.00pm, ticket office closes at 4.30pm
Closed 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January.
The site may be temporarily closed to visitors due to the holding of a "music, St. Vincent etc." event.
