Château de la Crée - Château de la Crée experience & picnic
Presentation
A historical presentation of Château de la Crée, founded in 1431 by Nicolas Rolin (Chancellor to the Duke of Burgundy), and the rich cultural heritage of the village of Santenay (Gallo-Roman remains, monasteries, the Montagne des Trois Croix, etc.).
We then visit our 1.5-hectare vineyard in Santenay - Clos du Château, planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Observing the surrounding landscape perfectly illustrates the classification of Burgundy appellations and the importance of the land and what it produces.
We discuss the specific characteristics of the Santenay appellation and Château de la Crée, as well as vineyard management practices.
Then, we head down into our 15th-century vaulted cellars. Here, you can enjoy a guided, interactive tasting of four of the estate's wines.

Before or after your experience ... surrounded by nature, enjoy the space and tranquillity of the château’s grounds.
A great opportunity to relax and spend time with family and friends.
Your picnic basket includes a selection of items from the local market (a cold dish), cheese, a dessert and a bottle of water (33cl).
Your picnic is prepared using fresh, seasonal, local products.
A selection of wines is available for purchase to complement your meal.
A junior picnic, for children up to 12 years old, is also available (to be booked separately - please contact us).
