During a pleasant day’s bike ride, discover the vineyards listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, the Côte and Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. This is the best way to see, smell and taste Burgundy’s wines, accompanied by an enthusiastic bike guide who’s passionate about Burgundy wines. The circuit passes through the villages of Pommard, Saint-Romain, La Rochepot, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault and Volnay...
The route? 24 km, "easy" level. The route is mostly downhill, with flat and only a few short climbs.
In short, on the programme: cycling, the great outdoors and, above all, having fun!
The service includes:
- The rental of a bike OR electric bike with an accompanying guide who’ll help you discover and understand the wines and terroir of Burgundy
- A helmet
- Transfers start/return from/to the tourist office,
- A ride in the vineyards of Côte de Beaune: Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet ...
- Tasting in the vineyards
- Lunch without wines: Lunch at Puligny-Montrachet, in the form of a picnic or traditional Burgundy meal,
- Passing in front of Château de la Rochepot from the 13th century and visit to a wine château (4 wines included) in Chassagne-Montrachet,
- Tour and tasting of 4 wines from a family estate in Pommard,
- tasting of 9 wines minimum
Service starts: from 9.30am to 5.00pm
Departing: allée du Docteur Bouley, next to the entrance to Parc de la Bouzaize in Beaune; Arrive 10 minutes early.
In case of bad weather: The tour leaves by minibus, so we can do part by vehicle and, if the weather improves, continue by bike.
Children's bike sizes available: 143-150 cm and 150-157 cm
